King Edward VIII (abdication) framed crowns & stamps set (Mint). On offer is this rare and unusual souvenir coin and stamp display set.

Seventy years ago, in 1936, King Edward VIII abdicated the British throne in order that he could marry the woman he loved: American, Wallis Simpson. The display contains two different medallic pattern crowns.

No coins were issued for circulation for Edward VIII, t. Hese coins are modern re-strikes, they are dated, but not struck in 1936. The stamps were issued before the abdication but withdrawn shortly afterwards. The medallions are in Uncirculated condition and the four stamps are in Mint condition as issued. The item is new/mint and is housed in a high quality, wooden picture frame with glass front.
